SLAVES IN OUR CITY
What is the Church’s response to the challenge of human trafficking? How can we recognize the signs of modern slavery in our community? Did you know there are more slaves today than at the height of the Atlantic slave trade?
If you would like to know more, there will be an evening to focus on these issues on Thursday 22nd November from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at the Church of the Immaculate Conception (Farm Street), W1K 3AH.
Please RSVP. Telephone 020 7798 9030 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.

NOVEMBER – THE MONTH OF THE HOLY SOULS
As the season itself reminds us, all created life of itself is fragile and finite. However, the darkness of death should hold no fears for the Christian who always walks in the light of Christ. A correct understanding of the manner in which God’s grace can save even those who are beyond our physical affection leads us to embrace them in our prayer. So during the weeks of November the Church commends to our prayers the people who have been part of our lives and are now numbered among the Faithful Departed. Our special prayer for these Holy Souls is that they enter the realm of eternal life that is Heaven. This prayer finds a particularly powerful expression in the offering of Holy Mass for their intentions.
If you wish deceased friends or relatives, or others who are particularly dear to you to be included among those for whom Mass is offered in this church, please write their names down on a piece of paper and put it in one of the special envelopes to be found at the back of the church. You may also wish to include a donation. Kindly place such envelopes on the altar, or deliver them to the Rectory, 7 Cheyne Row.
This coming Advent the Parish Small Faith Sharing Communities programme will focus upon the family, exploring themes from the Holy Father's teaching in Amoris Laetita.
There will be six weekly sessions, each held on a Tuesday evening commencing 6th November and finishing on 11th December. Anyone wishing to register should please contact the Parish Office on 020 7352 0777.
There is still room in the Pre-First Communion Class, 5.00pm - 6.00pm on Tuesdays.
Suitable for children age 5 to 7, this provides a good preparation for the sacramental programme. Please contact the Parish Office for details.
