Last weekend we welcomed the return of Canon Michael Brockie to preside at Mass. This was an opportunity for us to thank him for his generous service as Parish Priest here for seventeen years. At the end of the 11.00am Mass a presentation was made to Canon Brockie by Francis De Zulueta, Chairman of the Parish Council, on behalf of the parishioners. This was followed by refreshments and time for everyone to have a word with the Canon. In retirement he will be living nearby, and no doubt will remain a familiar figure in and around Chelsea.

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Mrs Jocelyn Keeling. Her Funeral Mass will be at 12 noon on Monday 22nd October. Please pray also for her family and those who mourn her.

CAFOD FAMILY FAST DAY: Friday 5th October

On Family Fast Day CAFOD invited us to share in the abundance that God has given us. CAFOD invites us to eat simply – perhaps having a bowl of soup instead of a meal – and give the money we save to help people who need our help to produce or buy their food.

Please collect an envelope from the back of the church. Our collection for CAFOD is being taken this weekend as you leave after Mass.
